Help with funeral expenses for Melissa Benson
Donation protected
If you’ve been lucky enough to have someone in your life, who was always there for you, day or night, no matter what, and always loved you unconditionally, than you know how much of a precious gift that is.
Our mom was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. She had been living with kidney disease and scleroderma for quite some time, and fought hard every day to stay here on earth for her husband of 27 years as well as her children, but on 6/18/23, at 4:22 AM, she couldn’t fight any more. Unfortunately, my mom didn’t have any life insurance, and my dad did what he could to save for this moment, but she passed away sooner than any of us expected. We hate asking for help, but we are trying to honor our matriarchs wishes for cremation as well as a small service. The funds will go towards her cremation, funeral service, a headstone (she wanted a physical place for us to go and be with her when we’re having a hard day), and to help recoup lost funds for my dad while he is out of work, mourning the loss of the love of his life.
Any extra funds beyond that will be donated to the Scleroderma Research Foundation, in hopes of finding a cure for this terrible disease so that no one else has to go through what our mom went through.
Our Dad, John, will be the main recipient of these donations. He has always been our rock when we needed him, but now he needs us more than anything.
Anything that you are able to donate is appreciated beyond measure and means more than words could ever describe to my family and I.
