Help with Funeral Costs for Jim Wright

My name is Dean Kautzmann and I am a long time friend of Jim and Angela Wright. Actually, Jim and I go back to 1984. I was a sergeant in the Air Force and had just PCSd to Kadena Air Base on Okinawa, Japan. I was invited to audition as a singer for Jim's band, Condition One. The rest, as they say, is history. I got the job but more than that, I got a life long friend. After Japan we met up in Florida, where we lived in a duplex together for several years and pursued our love of music.

Today I received the news that Jim had passed away. I knew he was sick. He had as history of heart attacks, endured a stroke and had been on dialysis for kidney disease. But Jim was a fighter and every time he was faced with death, he came out the victor. A few days ago I received a note from another Air Force brother, letting me know that Jim had been in the hospital with Covid related pneumonia. He was on a vent but was fighting, like he always did. Unfortunately, today, January 3, he suffered a massive heart attack. The Lord finally called Jim home.

Jim was a talented musician, a loyal friend and one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. And there is a big ol' hole in my heart knowing that he's gone. This picture is how I am always going to remember him...us. Me giving him the big ol' smooch and him with the radiant smile.

I am not alone in this sense of loss. His beautiful wife, Angela, and his extended family, are all hurting deep inside. And with that, or perhaps more accurately, despite the pain, the fact remains that there is now a funeral to pay for, the cost for which this family is ill prepared for. That's where we, his friends, family, neighbors and acquaintances need to step up and help. This family needs our help paying for Jim's final resting place and it is my hope and prayer that we can help them.
