Hi Everyone, my name is Becky Beasley and I have a little brother whose name is Craig Beasley. About three years ago he was diagnosed with chirrosis of the liver, after being an alcoholic for about six years. There was a lot of reasons for his alcoholism that I won’t get into because he probably wouldn’t want that and if nothing else I want to respect his wishes. He was in denial about his diagnosis for the first couple of years. He just pretended the diagnosis never happened until his ex wife took his four children over there and dropped them off on his doorstep and went on her merry way. This was about two years ago from that day forward he never drank a drop of alcohol again. His only priority was his children and making up for any wrong he ever did to them. If u ask them they will tell u “that’s the best dad anyone could ask for”. I am so proud of him for being such a good father.
So his symptoms started really worsening about three to six months ago and he could no longer pretend this wasn’t happening and he started wanting to be proactive in his treatment but unfortunately it was too late. The damage was done and it was irreversible. There was no way to fix this. Which has made me feel so helpless because you see I have always been his protector, his big sister. I always fixed any problems he had. I always felt like it was my duty to do so now I feel so helpless because I can’t fix this. They have given him hours to live. It’s just a matter of time. Since he hasn’t been able to work for awhile now he doesn’t have life insurance, so I’m looking for help for his final expenses. Normally i would help him out just as I always have but my family doesn’t have the extra money at this time. I will also be taking on the responsibility of his four children., which I am so honored to do. So if we exceed our goal I will use that money to put a small bathroom in our basement so his boys will no have their own bathroom. His boys are seniors this year with big plans and although this is a tragic event I am going to provide them with every resource I can to keep their lives on track. He has four really good kids and he is so proud and so am I. So with all that said any amount that you can spare will be appreciated. I know these are some tough times for everyone. So I just want to take the time to say thanks for reading this very long story and thank u in advance for any and all donations.
Sincerely, Becky Beasley
