Help with Funeral Arrangements for Lee Brady
Donation protected
I’m writing this on behalf of my friend, Falon. She’s heartbroken today. She told me her dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and her world is irrevocably shaken. She said:
“My dad was such a good man and did so much for those around him. There are so many examples I can remember. During the huge snowstorm in the 1990s, for instance, he picked up a lot of doctors and nurses to get them to the hospital so that they could treat patients.
He loved his 11-year-old grandson Preston so much. He made sure they attended all of his Cub Scouts meetings and events, especially when I couldn’t take him as I work in the city and getting home on time was rarely an option. He loved camping in the woods, and used these skills to teach Preston and his whole den how to set up a campsite and how to start a campfire safely.
He also took Preston to his football and wrestling practices frequently. He loved to watch Preston play. They had such a special bond. Preston was his whole world, and I dread having to tell him his grandfather will no longer be with him.
He loved his dog Hunter. He could often be seen walking up Main Street in Ridgefield Park with the enormous dog, frequently stopping to let children pet Hunter.
He worked for homeland security, and the union. His local union has no death benefit and he lost his life insurance when he got injured and was no longer able to work. My mother has a modest job and no savings since my dad became disabled. I am a single mom with only a small savings, which I am using for his funeral, but it’s not nearly enough.
I’m asking my friends if they can contribute to a fund so that we can give my dad a funeral. He left this world far too soon, and we weren’t prepared for this. Please help if you can. We would be very grateful for anything you can offer.”
