Help with funeral and related expenses for Cole Thompson

Donation protected
Early Easter morning, two Blaine police officers knocked on Kris and Carie Thompson's door to deliver the worst news any parent can ever hear. Kris and Amy's eldest son, Cole Jacob Thompson (Lorenzen), had passed away in a tragic car accident the night before, just one day shy of his 21st birthday. Now, instead of celebrating Easter as a family, they were faced with the realization that Cole would never be coming home and they would spend the day talking to the police, investigators, and hospital staff and contacting family and friends to let them know what was going on.

The accident was covered on several news stations (CBS) so I won't get into details here other than to say the investigation is still ongoing and the Minneapolis police are committed to get justice for Cole.

This has not only taken an emotional but also a financial toll on Cole's family. Funeral expenses alone are almost $12,000, and that doesn't take into account for time away from work and other ancillary costs. Kris and Amy hate asking people for money, which is why I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of Kris and Carie Thompson (Cole's dad and stepmom) and Amy Lorenzen (Cole's mom).

Please give what you can. Every little bit helps.

Sincerely,
Ric Oliva (Kris Dogg's friend since the 6th grade)
