Frisco was my best friend and the sweetest dog you could ever meet. He kept me going when I didn’t feel like I had the strength to push through. At just 5 years old, Frisco was diagnosed with Lymphoma. On April 6th, I took him to the vet, and from that moment, our lives changed. We went to three different hospitals for specialized care, and he was admitted to the ICU until he could meet with the oncologist. He started chemotherapy the next day, and I was able to bring him home, but his health quickly declined. On April 12th, I took him back to the ER, where he was admitted overnight with kidney failure. Despite every effort, including more hospital stays and treatments, Frisco’s condition worsened. On April 14th, I was told there was nothing more we could do. I brought him home for a final day together, and that night, he passed away in the ER. I would have given everything I owned for him and ended up borrowing a significant amount to pay for his treatment, hoping to save his life. The funds raised will go toward covering these medical expenses. Your support would help me recover financially and allow me to spend time with his brother Telluride as we both heal from this loss. I am a single income household and will be working extra shifts to try and earn money, but your help would allow me to be at home and make sure Telluride is taken care of. Words cannot express how thankful I am for the love and support Frisco and I received from the moment of his diagnosis, through his passing, and afterwards. I felt so scared and alone during much of this, but the positive messages and love I received helped me stay strong for both Frisco and Telluride. There was never a doubt in my mind that I would do anything to save Frisco. I had researched grants to help pay for his treatment, but sadly, he passed before he became eligible.
