Help with Final Expenses for Scouter Leonard Cook

Donation protected

This fundraiser is to help with the final expenses of of an excellent Scouter -- Leonard Cook -- who passed away on May 28, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19 and cancer.

Active in Scouting as a youth and then as a Scouter throughout his adult life, Leonard Cook epitomized the Scout Law and the Scout Oath. He was generous with his time and skills to Troops and Packs throughout Southeast Missouri. He was also a member of the Order of the Arrow, completing his Ordeal in 1966 and earning his Brotherhood in 1968 and being awarded his Vigil in 1970.

His interest and care for youth in the Scouting program wasn't limited to the Greater St. Louis Area Council. He also mentored Scouting youth in other areas around the country, and he was always ready to share stories of the young men he mentored in Alabama.

In addition to his dedication to Scouting, Leonard was an active member in his church. It was yet another way he chose to give back to the community he called home.

Leonard did not have any children and was not married. We are seeking donations to help his sisters cover the costs of his final expenses -- medical bills, burial costs, etc. We hope you will consider making a donation to help offset these costs.

Thank you for your consideration.
