My name is David Hoppe. My wife Vickey and I have been married for 25 years. In that time we have had many awesome adventures and many heartbreaking moments. The bad seemed to occur more often, but the good times were so incredible that we felt we couldn't complain. She has been  through many health issues in our years together but she was always stronger than what we faced. We have both been disabled for the last 6 years because of car accident we were involved in. Since then her health has pretty steadily declined. She has been in heart failure, end stage renal failure (kidney), liver disease, Macular Degeneration and diabetes being the major issues. On February 27th I took to the emergency room because she was feeling weak, nauseous, and achy all over. She had pneumonia.  They treated her with some antibiotics but during some of the blood work they discovered that her sodium level along with some other things were out of whack. She was admitted to be treated and monitored and spent almost 3 weeks in the hospital. She was scheduled to come home on March 16th but she felt crummy and we decided to wait one more day. That night they found her unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. They did chest compressions for ten minutes and finally resuscitated her, but the damage was done. Now she lays in a bed. On a ventilator, seemingly unaware of her surroundings. She has no reflexive response to stimulus, even her pupils don't react. The doctors tell me that I most likely won't be taking her home. Being on disability with affixed income we no savings and no life insurance. I wish to honor her request of being cremated but have no means to pay. I have no idea what it will cost, so I have no idea what yo ask for. She is currently on life support but we cannot leave her that way very much longer because it is totally against her wishes. All funds will be used for the cremation and maybe a small memorial service. Any unused funds will be donated to charity in her name. Please help me say goodbye to my best friend in the most loving and dignified way possible.  Thank you for even considering my request.
