2022 has been a difficult year for everyone but especially for our family. January we lost my cousin Trisha. 7 months later, August we lost my uncle George. Sunday September 17th our family was hit a third time with another sudden loss. My cousin Jodi passed away one day after her youngest son’s golden 16th birthday.
Her oldest son and his partner welcomed their first child just 6 months ago. Jodi was absolutely thrilled and LOVED being Grandma. She was so proud of her boys and the young men they have grown to be. She had the biggest heart and would do anything she could to help some way even if she had nothing and with her own health deteriorating. From just calling or trying to talk if you needed to vent about something, to taking in someone else’s child and giving them a place to sleep and making sure the kids had food to eat even if it meant she didn’t get to eat.
Jodi has had so many health issues, and with many long days and nights at the ER needing more help than they could give, and with the doctors that she needed to see not accepting her medical insurance the bills added up fast.
My aunt Sherry has been stretched to limits that I can’t even imagine a mother to go through. From her son having cancer and helping him fight that every step of the way to all the times she drove to Illinois and back home to Minnesota to help Jodi with getting to doctors appointments and trying to get the help she needed.
This has been mentally draining and tough on all of us. We are reaching out to ask for help with donations for medical bills, funeral arrangements, and help with getting her two sons out to Minnesota for her funeral. Anything will be greatly appreciated and if a donation can’t be made, please send love and prayers still.
Our family is extremely grateful for anything, but especially for the support from everyone.
We love you and please help in anyway possible. ❤️
