Help with expenses from hit and run tragedy

Daniel Michael Kreismer born October 4 2005. He was born at 26 weeks and in NICU at Spartanburg Regional for 4 months. Came home on a vent. Wasn't expected to live. Mom was primary care giver and would teach thw home nurses how to take care of him (cleaning trach, etc)

His mom is in wake med Raleigh heart center awaiting bypass and valve replacement surgery to repair damage from sepsis. She is receiving dialysis due to kidney failure for past 2 years. His dad is a cross country truck driver.

Daniel was nonverbal autistic and blind in 1 eye. But was able to communicate in minor capacities. He loved being outside and going for car rides.

He had a history of getting out. Once he got out of his home and was found sitting in a neighbors car. Another time he walked into a neighbors house and put on the tv.

Daniel and his sister were staying with family while his dad did a run to Chicago. Additional locks and protective measures were put in place. Sometime after 2 am, he left the house. We theorize that, because all the cars were locked, he started walking towards the lights on route 35. Daniel was struck and killed in a hit-and-run by a car traveling north at approximately 3:45 am where the killer left him in the highway alone to die from his injuries and Daniel was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities when they arrived and examined his body.

His mother currently in the hospital awaiting her open heart surgery. She obviously cannot be up north with Daniel's father due to doctor's orders for her to remain in the hospital and get the surgery. 

There is no life insurance on Daniel. His father, who is the sole breadwinner, is currently not working since he found out the news and has to be helping police with the investigation and questions in New Jersey. Daniel's family would like for Daniel to be buried with his older brother Shane who died in 1990. We would like to raise enough money to help with the funeral costs as well as help with general expenses while the investigation takes place. The family wishes for Daniel to have a service in both NJ and NC due to having equal family in both states.

Daniel is survived by both his parents as well as his 2 older siblings Missy, Chelsea (adults) and 1 younger sibling Emily (14 years of age).
