Dear loved and appreciated friends and family of Marisa,

My name is Lauren, Marisa’s niece, and I am putting together this GoFundMe to help support Marisa and family.

As many of you know, throughout the last several months, our dear friend, sister, mother, daughter, aunt, and loved one, Marisa, has battled Pancreatitis. These months have consisted of many days and nights spent fighting for her life.

Though we remain on our feet supporting Marisa through traveling to be at her side, managing her affairs, gathering medical equipment for her discharge, rearranging schedules, and collaborating with insurance and social work, the posture of our hearts is one on our knees. You have met us here. Your acts of service, prayer, and encouraging words have been soothing to our weary hearts. Thank you.

These aspects of Marisa’s and our current situation have had a significant financial impact on both Marisa personally and on the family. We are working tirelessly to get her to Memphis, TN so she can be with family while she continues to heal. Due to Marisa’s medically fragile condition, her medical team deems it necessary to use professional medical transportation to safely get her to Memphis. This is not covered by insurance. Additionally, expenses like Marisa’s personal affairs and medical bills, and eventually rehabilitation are just a handful of the myriad expenses.
