My sister Amy was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Triple Negative breast cancer in July of 2020. She moved back home to Belpre from New Mexico to be close to her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She began chemotherapy as a part of a clinical trial at the Stephanie Spielman Breast Cancer Center in Columbus OH. I along with our other two sisters, Dee Richards and Debbie Burton have been taking Amy back and forth for her treatments.
Amy had started having some dizziness and balance issues a couple weeks ago. They scheduled an MRI for February 8th. Got results via teleconference on the 10th. The cancer has metastasized to her brain and spine. Went back to Columbus on 14th to see radiation oncologist Dr. Jhawar on the 15th. Had CT, withdrew from clinical trial to start radiation. Had two more MRIs done this morning. She has another CT in the morning then radiation starts tomorrow evening, February 17th.
This is palliative care. The radiation will help with the quality of life Amy has left. Once the radiation is complete, they may start her on another round of chemotherapy.
Amy doesn't have an income. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and would be used for food, travel expenses and personal care for Amy... Prayers appreciated as well.
