Hello again everyone. I tried this a couple weeks ago and my pride got in the way. I am too poor to have pride.
Last December I broke my leg dislocated my ankle fractured my ankle I was in the hospital for three months I suffered a cardiac arrest I stopped breathing twice and I got pneumonia. After all that I still had 3 to 4 months of rehab. I rehabbed my ankle and leg and was able to return to work in June.
Work was going fine until approximately August 1. My ankle started giving away and I noticed my foot was off-center and crooked. It hurt very much when I walked on uneven surfaces they witnessed this and told me I cannot come back to work until I get my ankle fixed.
I was working for an engineering firm managing construction and inspecting fiber optics they were paying for my housing since I was 100% travel. So I got rid of my apartment and traveled Nebraska for the next two months. I have now lost that housing. I have been working for GrubHub walking around on a shattered ankle because I need money to stay in hotels. The past three nights I’ve spent in my car behind of Walmart. I have 30 days until I have my surgery I could not possibly make it without help.
Simply put I need this money for hotel rooms (Motel 6 64.00 a night)food (approx 40.00 a day)car payment insurance payment and phone payment. I will not be getting rich off this money I need this to survive.
My family is unable to help me at this time with finances or room an board.
The procedure I will be going through is called, Arthrodesis-Ankle. The condition being fixed, Collapsed ankle, collapsed arch, arthritic ankle as well. Healing time will be 6 to 12 months. Even with successful surgery there is still an 80% chance that I lose my foot (another go fund me for another day)
So there is a nutshell. I am as desperate as I’ve ever been. I like to think of myself as a good person who’s tried to help others whenever he could and now I’m asking for help. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. As I said earlier I’m too poor to have pride. But I would like to keep my dignity by not having to sleep in my car behind Walmart.
