. Hello, my name is Lacey Stolzer. On March 12, I got a call no wife wants to get. My husband was in a major car accident. His truck flipped over end over end two times, and he was rushed to LSU Hospital Trauma Center and was later moved to the ICU Trauma unit, where they found that he has a broken sternum and a fracture in his L1 in his back.
Which means he will be pretty much on bed rest and in a back brace anytime he stands up for the next six to eight weeks. And even worse, he is out of work for a minimum of six weeks, but the doctor said probably more; it just depends on how he is healing in his back and his sternum.
When he started working at his job almost 2 years ago, he did not sign up for short-term disability, but God is good, and somehow he may be able to get it! But it’s not guaranteed, and there is no telling how long it will take to get approved. He is such a hardworking, great man who will help anyone that needs it!
I started a GoFundMe because of him being the sole provider and being out of work for a minimum of 6-8 weeks. If he doesn’t have to have surgery (we are praying he doesn’t on his back), his sternum will still take a while to heal. Not to mention, he can’t go back to work on light duty; he has to wait for the doctor to sign off that he can go back all the way with no restrictions.
Anything will help, and if you can’t donate, please keep him and us in your prayers for a speedy recovery because Lord knows we need it. I know God provides, and I know he will get us through this, even if it’s with the help of hopefully some of you! As soon as we find out he is approved for short-term disability, I will pause this and end it! If you donate, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! IF YOU PRAY FOR HIM, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH AND FOR SHARING IT!!! We appreciate each and every one!!! I’m blessed to still have my husband here with me. God is so good, and the angels were with him for sure!!! Thank you to everyone that has already called and checked on him. It means so much to us. All the prayers are working as well. They have since day 1.
