Help with expenses due to a tragic injury

My name is Alyssa. My sister who has always been a strong, independent woman, is in need of help. My sister has always been the type to say, if I have it, your welcome to it! She has always been there to shelter those around her when they needed a place to lay their head and feed them even if she didn't have much. Now she has been faced with unexpected circumstances that have put not only herself out of work but also her spouse. While her husband was at work, she received a terrifying call that no one wants to receive. Her husband is a carpenter and while at work, had a structure fall on top of him causing life-threatening injuries that would change their life forever.

He suffered a severe crush injury to the distal femur knee tibia and fibula. Today completely shredding his muscle pain arteries tendons etc. Caused by 2 17 foot carrier beams pinning him to the ground. He's undergone 13 surgeries and has been in the hospital for two weeks. Doctors anticipate for him to be there for at least another month with more surgeries to come. My sister has had to take off work due to these continuous surgeries in order to be there for her husband. So far, it is looking like he will lose his leg which will cause more life changes up the road such as making their home handicap accessible and having to purchase a handicap-accessible vehicle.

My sister is doing the best she can to support her husband and 3 children while also trying to keep her emotions together. Having financial burdens when going through trauma is extremely difficult. I am asking that together we help to ease some of the burdens of my sister. Anything that you are able to spare is greatly appreciated.

Pray for strength, perseverance, and miracles over this family because he almost died that tragic day and his coworker, who thankfully was an ex-cop was able to put some of his training to work to stop the blood flow long enough for the ambulance to arrive. Update 8/01/2021: Nicky went into surgery yesterday and had his leg amputated. He will have months of rehab before he can even be considered for a prosthetic leg. He will have to learn to maneuver through this new life and we are so thankful for all of your love and support during this trying time. The outpour of love that he has received has really been keeping him going and we are so appreciative of it.
