I have been in a relationship for the past year and a half. We married in May of this year. It was a hopeful and loving relationship that turned dark, then became violent with psychological, emotional, and financial abuse. Then, in the last 3 months, it became physical.

He has drained me of almost all of my savings, stolen items of value, and has left me close to nothing to save myself.

I need to get a storage for my things, find a new place to live, rescue my furbabies from him, and get an attorney to file for divorce.

I'm a very independent person when it comes to money, and asking for financial help is quite difficult. But I've learned that it's okay to ask for help when it is of critical need.

My safety is concerned, and I have to make the vulnerable choice to ask for help.
