My cousin Brooke's husband, Erik, recently experienced severe seizures and spent two weeks in the hospital. He suffered muscle damage which left him unable to walk or even sit up unassisted. With therapy, he is now walking with a walker but has a long road ahead before he will be well enough to return to the job he loves as a river raft guide. With Brooke being a full-time graduate student pursuing a Master's in Social Work, things were already a little tight financially.

This is a huge setback.

Brooke has considered deferring her schooling until next year and returning to work full-time, but it would be such a major hit to their future. They could really use some support getting back on their feet.

Everyone who knows these two knows they're some of the kindest, most down-to-earth, adventurous, and loving people in the universe.

We hope that when they're able to get back on the river, go rock climbing, skiing, and hiking, they'll be able to do so without financial fears weighing them down.
