Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m fundraising to cover emergency vet expenses for my cat, Banana.

After a sudden change in her pupils and behavior, we rushed to the emergency vet—and I got news I wasn’t prepared for. Banana is now completely blind. The vets believe it’s most likely due to a brain tumor, but they can’t say for sure without doing a CT scan and an MRI under anesthesia. That alone would cost over $3,000, and it’s just the starting point.

Right now, I’m facing an impossible situation. I can’t afford to move forward with the testing, and even if I could, the chances of a treatable outcome are slim. My only option is to keep her comfortable, monitor her closely, and make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye if her quality of life declines.

Those who know me, know that this past year has been a true test of my resilience and this is certainly no exception. In 2024 I lost the person I thought I would marry, the home I had created with them over four and a half years, and the job I thought I would be at forever. I haven’t recovered emotionally or financially from those situations yet, and this honestly may be the biggest blow of them all. I’d go through those things a million times over if it meant my girl stayed okay.

Banana means everything to me. She’s been my constant, my comfort, and my little shadow for almost a decade. Shes lived in every home I’ve ever lived in. I don’t want her to suffer, and I’m trying to do what’s best for her with what I have. If you’re able to donate, it would help cover the emergency vet visit and any future care she might need.
