Our hearts are broken. This evening, an animal, possibly a bobcat, got into our fenced yard and attacked our three doodles. Two survived but needed stitches and emergency care. Sadly, one of our sweet dogs did not make it. The dog that died was my 7-year-old son's best friend, and we are all grieving this terrible loss while trying to manage the unexpected vet bills for our other two dogs.

The attack happened so suddenly, and we are still in shock. Our dogs are truly part of our family, and seeing them hurt has been devastating. We rushed them to the emergency vet, where they received care. Molly has extensive damage to her neck and throat and may require surgery—we’ll know next week if the skin will heal or not. Oreo got staples in her ear that should be able to come out in about ten days, and thankfully, everyone else’s injuries are superficial. The medical team did everything they could, and we are grateful that two of our doodles are still with us, but the costs for their treatment have added up quickly.
