Help with Ed’s recovery

Hi everyone,

I really hate to ask for help but I have reached the limit of Ed’s insurance at 25k. I’m reaching out for support for my beloved Ed, who is currently in vet hospital fighting his way back from a serious and complicated condition called ileus a dangerous shutdown of the digestive system.

It’s been an incredibly emotional and exhausting 10 days. Ed first had an over operation for IVdd  which he recovered from well from. But sadly as a complication he stopped eating and Started vomiting. So was rushed back into emergency care. He was then diagnosed with shut down of the digestive track . The only way through it is to be in ICU hooked up to fluids and feeding through a tube so it take time but is incredibly expensive. 

Despite it all, Ed is a fighter. Today, he took a huge step he ate on his own for the first time in over a week. We are finally seeing signs of hope. But his journey isn’t over.

If you’ve ever loved a dog, you know they’re not just pets they’re family. Ed has been my shadow, my comfort and my heart for years. Seeing him suffer has been devastating, but I’m doing everything I can to give him the best chance at recovery.
