- I
Hi everyone,
As some of you are aware, Edna was admitted to the emergency vet Friday night for gastrointestinal issues. We spent the entire night there with her and were finally able to bring her home around 4:30am.
On Friday night I was advised by Edna’s veterinary clinic that the symptoms she had been having for the last few days were closely aligned with internal bleeding. They were concerned and suggested that the best option for Edna’s health would be to go to the ER that night.
After x-rays, testing and close monitoring overnight, thankfully surgery was not needed. We were able to bring Edna home the next morning, which was such a relief.
Seeing her struggle and not herself was really difficult. She’s such a huge part of my life, and anyone who knows me, knows her!! Thankfully, she’s now feeling better and slowly getting back to herself.
The total cost of her care came to $2,200, which has been overwhelming to take on unexpectedly. I’m sharing this in case anyone feels open to helping support her recovery.
There is absolutely no pressure at all!!!! Your messages and support have already meant more to me than I can explain. I’m so grateful for the community Edna has around her. If you are in a position to contribute, I would truly appreciate it, but if not, I completely understand.
With Love,
Amanda, Edna & Jordan
