Help with Desiree's Medical Cost from Surgery

My name is Ashley and this is my best friend, Desiree.  If you are lucky enough to know Desiree, then you know the kind of person she is: a person who would give you the shirt off her back, will send your presents to brighten your day, or will come and surprise you across the world just because she misses your company.  Desiree is an activist, a role model, and a do-gooder.  She believes in the good in people and strives to change the world. 

But all this has been put on hold...Recently, Desiree was diagnosed with a Infiltrated Glioma brain tumor.  She was rushed to the emergency room a week ago, where they made this discovery and within a day she was preparing for surgery.  Her procedure included a craniotomy and she has been in the hospital under observation to help manage her pain and begin her therapy.  Her fiance Scott was by her side for everything.




If you know Desiree and Scott, then you know what a kind and giving couple they are.  They would open their home to anyone that needs help, a place to stay, or just wanted to get away.  They care about their community, their cats, and most importantly their friends and family. 

This is a crucial need and funds would benefit her immediately. Desiree lost her job back in March, at the beginning of the pandemic, and therefore lost her health insurance.  These expenses for her treatment and emergency procedure will inevitably cost thousands of dollars. Desiree is about to face weeks of recovery time.  The after care that she will need to regain her normal quality of life will be ongoing and will take a toll financially for this person who was saving for her fall wedding and fixing up her home for her future. 


 


Now is the time that we can give back to Desiree!  I am asking for help for this beautiful soul who would go out of her way to help so many of us.
