Hey I’m starting this for my best friend Decker’s top surgery fund. Deckz is an incredibly hilarious, radical, hardworking, black trans man who deserves more than our society can offer, but *we* as a community can show him how loved he is by supporting his top surgery & helping him on his journey every step of the way. Despite chronic illness & health issues, Deckz has worked long, late restaurant hours, keeping everyone nearby fed both professionally & personally for years. Surgery isn’t cheap & top surgery is just the beginning. Anything extra will go towards other affirming modifications & the time he’ll need to take off work to recover. Adopted into a large family with many siblings, his independence has always been a point of pride but as a long time friend, I want to help him see that he’s valued by his friends, family & community.
