On behalf of Debbie, friends and family have created this GoFundMe Page. Two days after Christmas 2022, Debbie was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma (say that ten times fast) Stage 2B (Lung Cancer). Within a couple of months, surgery to remove the upper lobe of her lung was necessary. Unfortunately, during surgery, Debbie experienced complications requiring her to receive numerous blood transfusions and an extended hospital stay due to Pneumonia and a collapsed lung. Upon returning home, she experienced additional ambulance runs and complications. All of which has led to emotional, physical, and financial strain. Currently, Debbie is undergoing four rounds of Chemotherapy and will continue to receive Immunotherapy for a year.

Debbie has been out of work since her initial diagnosis in December - She hopes to return to work in the OR at Fairview (and be surrounded by her caring/compassionate co-workers/work-family) as her health allows.

Debbie has a big heart, a witty sense of humor, an infectious smile and laugh, and loves animals as much (perhaps more) as people. Not only is she adored by family, close friends, and the extensive work families she has made over the years. These include friends from Hibbing Electronics (where she was employed for over 10 years), Range Mental Health (8+ years), and Fairview (8 years). She has also worked part-time jobs at Cherish, Access North, the local pet store, and was a Pull Tab attendant at several local bars.

Debbie has applied for emergency programs/funding. Unfortunately, at this time, she has not qualified for any assistance. The funds collected will be used towards medical bills, travel, and any expenses incurred while she is unable to work. Any/every donation is greatly appreciated!
