Damon Givens is part of Saddle Up Saloon's security staff. Last Friday an active shooter tried to enter Saddle Up a hero named Damon Givens did his best to block the door. He is the young man by the front door wanding for weapons. Its not Damon's job to take bullets for anyone. That's not in anyone's job description. But that's what he did. Because it's his character. He saved lives that day, one is our door girl - who knows how many others?

We do not know the shooter, he was never in Saddle Up before this evening. He left and came back with a weapon and unfortunately, a determined lunatic with a weapon is hard to stop. Damon took 6 bullets while trying to block the door. Two of which remain in him for now. He has a very long road to recovery and we are asking all people that love Saddle Up Saloon, shared memories there, love Damon or whatever to donate to help ease his burden during his long recovery.
