As many of you know, my dad Mike suffered a stroke last week. He was life-flighted from Gulf Shores to Sacred Heart Medical Center, and thankfully received the clot busing medicine just in time! However, as all of us know the stay was life saving but very expensive, and my Dad, who is a Private Chef, has lost work due to his stroke. He is the Head Chef, along with many other hats that he wears. He has made it so far in life, after 23 years in law enforcement, serving in the police missions in the Balkans with the United Nations, and in Iraq with the US State Department, surviving multiple explosions and combat incidents. Now he also helps veterans and first responders in their struggle with PTSD. Anything helps to help recover from his stay, and means so much to our family as stress can be detrimental to his recovery.
