My father passed away suddenly from a heart attack, and it’s been a really hard time for me and my family. After my mom died almost three years ago, my dad and I became much closer. Losing him now has been incredibly tough, both emotionally and financially. He always told me that if anything happened, there would be enough money on his Social Security card to take care of things. Unfortunately, after he passed, the card was turned off, and now I’m left trying to figure out how to cover his cremation and other expenses.

To access the funds my dad left, I need to hire a lawyer, which will take up most of what’s available. On top of that, I owe my 91-year-old grandfather for helping me cover some of these costs, and I have other bills piling up. I’m not proud to ask for help, but I don’t have enough to get through this on my own.
