With a heavy heart we are announcing the loss of my 9 year old niece Jasmine. This unexpected and heartbreaking loss came just 10 days before Christmas on December 15th. Most of you have followed her journey through my posts and pictures seeing her sweet smiles and love for life and her family, but for those who never got the pleasure of being in her presence, we want you to know what a joy she was to everyone. Even the nurses in the hospital during one of her many stays would go on and on about how beautiful her laughter sounded and how huge she would smile when sung to and spoken to.
She is now in Heaven reunited with her twin, my goddaughter Gabriela who passed away at 19 months old in 2015.
Her mother Alicia was devoted to taking amazing care of her special needs daughter in her home everyday and therefore was unable to work and now instead of being able to grieve and focus on the final memorial plans for Jasmine, her mother and siblings are in desperate immediate need of help to pay the rent and utilities for January for the home they’ve made years of memories in.
Please find it in your hearts to donate to this family and help reach the amount needed by the 4th of January which is 7 days away!
As far as the funds for the cremation and mortuary fees, Alicia has a large portion of those fees being covered by a charity in the form of a check directly given to the mortuary and a family member has purchased her urn so there’s a few things still needing covered to give this incredible girl a proper goodbye so anything received above the rent and utilities will be applied to that.
It’s incredibly hard for Alicia to ask for any help but she is also a mother to four more children who reside in her home who don’t deserve to be worrying about where they’ll live after next week.
So I am asking as Jasmines auntie, as their auntie, as her friend, and as a daughter of God, that you help relieve this burden and confirm that she is not alone and there is still good in this world
