Hello, I am Tonia Gemmell I am Courtney’s manager at work and have since built a great relationship with her and been a major support to her during her treatments...........................**

As many may or may not know, Courtney was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in 2019 after the birth of her daughter Willow. Since then, courtney has had 8 surgery's all up, including radiation. She received the good news that she was cancer free in 2022 and in remission. She had fought the hard battle and won!

Unfortuntely, last week, Courtney was seeing her doctors for her routine check ups and was told some incredibly hard breaking news, her tests showed very prominant cancer cells were in her blood, this could mean the cancer in her cervix has returned OR due to other tests showing her bone density levels, could potentially be in her bones. To be certain and in order to find where the cancer cells are coming from as they have shown back up on her tests, she needs to have surgery #9 which will include obtaining a bone marrow sample amongst other invasive measures and could also result in further cancer treatments.

Courtney is a single mother, working full time to provide the best possible life for her 3 year old daughter Willow.

All while battling this horrible disease and still maintaining working full time.

This next surgery will cost up to $6,000 so we are wanting to share this page to allow others who know courtney and know her journey to lend a little bit of a hand during this hard time and help her pay for this surgery. 

As we know, the current living costs in sydney are extraneous and can be challenging at times so we want to alleviate as much stress as we can by putting toward this surgery for her.

Courtney even tried to withdraw some of her Super but was refused due to her income, shame on you ANZ! They didn’t take into account every day living eats up her earnings. 

Any small amounts will be greatly appreciated, even if you're unable to donate please just want to send a comforting message I know she would be so appreciative. She is a very proud woman and almost never asks for help or assistance, she just knuckles down and gets it done and if you do know Courtney personally, you would know she would give the shirt off her back to help those around her so we are hoping we can help too.
