Help with costs while search for Ben continues

There is unfortunately nothing new to report. All leads have been exhausted and the search efforts have been ended by the RCMP.

if anyone has any information at all, they are encouraged to contact the RCMP directly. The family is incredibly thankfully for everyone who donated, shared any leads, helped with the search and helped to spread the word. If there are any changes specific to Ben’s whereabouts, an update will be provided.

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, there is no news to share regarding Ben going missing. Friends and family have gone up many times to search around the area of his last know whereabouts, with no new information, leads or anything.

Please continue to spread the word. The family is working hard to keep the search active, but unfortunately, keep hitting dead ends.

My name is Measha and I am making this go fund me on behalf of the family of Ben Fournier.

Ben is a well respected IT tech in Victoria. Ben has always been everyone’s go to person and known as the guy who would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. His laugh is contagious and a smile that lights up the room.

Ben left Victoria April 16th, and hasn’t been seen or heard of since he left his weekly Sunday brunch with his buddies. His last known where abouts was in Mill Bay on the 16th and it’s been radio silent ever since.

The Shawnigan RCMP are actively managing this investigation, along side Cowichan Search and Rescue. While this happens, the family is trying to ensure the rent at his house is paid, cover the impound fees of his car and keep his life rolling while the investigation continues on.

His niece has not been able to work since the 16th while she works with all the different authorities and continues to make trips up and down the island to help with search efforts and following up as needed.

Unfortunately, due to the nature and logistics of when people go missing, there aren’t any supports in place to help families move through this hard time.

Anything helps while the family waits out the timeframes or Uncle Ben is found safe and comes home.
