1 week ago, Paul Rickards died in a tragic moose collision. He was 29 years old. Paul was an active member of the Alaska Air National Guard, he served in Iraq, graduated from security forces training with honors, was a combat arms instructor and reached the rank of Master Sergeant by the young age of 28.

He loved life in Alaska, his chosen home. He loved going hiking, camping, running, kayaking, and all the things Alaska has to offer with his friends and his dog bear. He loved his family above all and was planning to move back to Ohio to be closer to his parents and sisters.

He has done so much for so many, now it is time for us to help him. A family in grief should not have to worry about the financial burden of flying home and burying their son.
