Help with chemo/radiation costs

My sister, Michele, has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of Endometrial Cancer.  This has been a very tough diagnosis as her husband has been terribly ill for the past 3 years. He is a diabetic, that has suffered a PE, a quintuple bypass last fall, and is now in kidney failure and needing dialysis 3-4 days a week.  She has been his caregiver and in doing so, may have missed any signs of her own illness. As if this isn’t enough, her new short term individual policy is terrible! They will pay $1500 per chemo which is $7000 and very little for radiation.  My sister is so worried about the costs she is considering not having any treatments! Her doctor has convinced her that her treatments are “curative” rather than extending her life. She needs to get better so she can take care of her husband. We are doing everything we can to keep them positive and afloat. Any help is appreciated. His insulin itself is a huge financial burden. We will accept any good ideas on how to get the drug companies to help defer their costs. My sister worked for years to have great insurance and now has been reduced to this awful insurance. Terrible what’s happened. Any advice is welcome!
