Bug is 11 years old, and for 10 of those years, she's been my baby. She loves to lick plastic bags, get chased around the apartment, and drink water that isn't hers. She hates when I sing but loves when I use her as a drum. She loves snuggles but won't tolerate being held. She means the world to me.

This morning, I dropped her off to have several teeth extracted. The extraction is the culmination of a week or so of her pawing at her mouth and crying after she eats. The vet diagnosed her with stomatitis, which is primarily cured by removing the affected teeth.

An estimate was provided to us in advance. However, the final total ended up almost $1000 higher than that initial estimate. While we have been able to scrape together the costs with the help of family, we are left with not quite enough to cover other bills like rent.
