In July of 2024, I went to the ER at Hendrick, hurting in my back and not breathing well. After some tests, the doctor came in and said I had cancer that spread to my bones. It was either lung or breast cancer. He put me in the hospital, and I was there for a week. By the time I went home, I knew it was breast cancer but wasn't sure what kind. After about three weeks to a month of tests, Dr. D from West Texas Oncology said I had HER2 positive stage four breast cancer and that we were going to throw everything she had at it. Nine treatments later, they rechecked my heart because chemo is very hard on your heart. I was told that I have 20 percent heart failure and that I have to stop cancer treatment to fix my heart. That's where we are today, waiting to see if these heart pills fix my heart.and my mom's very sick four a month know she's been in the hospital for a week and know in rehab learning to walk all over again she got burned on her chest face arms neck from a grease fire in her oven as every one knows cancer can be expense and so can my 75;year oldons burns and learning to walk she needs a scooter when she goes home and we're both in need of gas to get back and forth, meds we both have copays on every thing we do I live 15 miles from Abilene she lives 22 miles from Abilene where she's in rehab and I get all my treats andy old man is the only person taking care of us both so please help me and mom thank you all very much.
Between food, gas, doctor visits, hospital copays, my insurance, and copays for my meds, Roger has been doing it all by himself for me. He's doing great, but our bills and medical expenses due to cancer are crazy.
