Help with Carl Dudeck Sr. Medical Bills for Cancer

Carl Dudeck Sr was born in 1963 and raised on the West Side of South Bend, a 1984 Washington High School Graduate.  He is fun loving, outgoing type of guy, that is always willing to help friends in need. Carl used to be very mechanically inclined and loved the outdoors; however, now most of his joy comes from spending time with his granddaughters.
Carl was originally diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer back in 1998. He underwent two (2) surgeries and radioactive iodine treatment.  With these first two (2) surgeries, they doctors nicked his vocal cord nerve, thus they left a small piece of one of the tumors with the plan that the radioactive iodine would eliminate the remaining cancer cells.
In 2007 another tumor formed and Carl was rediagnosed with thyroid cancer, only this time the cancer had spread to numerous lymph nodes. Carl underwent another surgery and radioactive iodine treatment. Doctors missed a few cancerous lymph nodes and again had the plan that the radioactive iodine would kill off the remaining cancer.
Once again the radioactive iodine treatment did not work and in 2010 another tumor formed. This time the cancer had spread to more lymph nodes, both lungs, a spot near one of his arteries and spot near his heart. Carl was then sent down to IU as doctors in South Bend were not sure what else they could do. The doctors down at IU put him on an experimental chemo drug. This drug had drastically slowed the growth of his cancer but brought on a vast number of other side effects such as neuropathy in his feet, destroyed his gut health, temperature sensitives, and sun sensitivity, just to name a few. All the side effects of the drug had caused Carl to have to stop working, thus he has been on a extremely limited income since approx. 2011.
Over the years the cancer has grown but it is now to the point that the doctors say one of the tumors has to be removed. They stated that the doctors in the South Bend area are not skilled enough to remove the tumor surgically thus he would have to go to either IU or Chicago. They gave him the option of radiation but that also has its own host of problems. Carl has started the process of getting a second opinion but no matter the option chosen he is going to need financial help with the copays and deductibles.
In addition to this cancer journey, Carl was in the hospital last night (4/10/2021) for emergency surgery to have his appendix removed.
If you would be willing to help support Carl on this journey, he and his family would be very grateful.
Thank you.
