I have a good friend, Carol Mikes, who is experiencing a stressful and financially draining time in her life.

Carol's husband, Marty, was diagnosed with dementia in 2019 at the age of 62. Carol was retired at that time, and Marty had to quit work.

Marty was recently diagnosed with ALS. This nervous system disease affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, which is causing Marty to start falling. Carol is trying to get him into Gallatin Rest Home, but there is a waitlist. In the meantime, it would be helpful to hire some in-home care, especially during Carol's surgery & recovery.

I started this GoFundMe page to raise funds to help pay for in-home care and medical costs for Marty.
