Many of you do not know our mother Bobbielynn Galvan but if you ever have the opportunity to meet her you would realize what a blessing she is! She leaves an everlasting impression on everyone that she meets! Courageous, Brave, Selfless, Loving, Warrior, If you were to look up any of these words in the dictionary you would definitely be describing our mother! This woman ceases to amaze us, to say that she has had a hard life would be putting it lightly. Through all the trials and tribulations that she has been through she has SURVIVED! She is a survivor and you would never even know it unless she told you! Her strength and positive outlook on everything is something to admire!

We have been putting this off for a couple months because we were hoping to be able to handle it on our own but unfortunately the treatment that our mother needs is one of the most expensive on the market and we can not keep up. Our mother was diagnosed with stage 3 oral cancer this past November, when we received the news we were crushed! For those of you that do not know our mother is a 2 time Cancer survivor, same cancer, same place and now for the THIRD time! We are all in disbelief, how does this happen 3 times in the past 14 years! How does it keep coming back?

She was first diagnosed in 2007 with oral & lymphatic cancer stage 4 , during that time they removed 20% of her tongue and all of her lymph nodes, 6 months of Chemotherapy & had 30 rounds of radiation! By the grace of God and her will to live she made it . Then in 2012 on the exact date of her last scan to see if she was officially "Cancer free" we were told that it was back! WHAT! WHY? We will never know but our mother despite being told that she isn't going to make it this time, she told the doctors I have to much to live for so do what they had to do! She had 65% MORE of her tongue removed, a surgery that was so hard on her that it almost killed her. Then underwent 8 more months of Chemotherapy and 30 more rounds of Radiation. They told her that she only bought herself some time that she would never eat or speak again and that she would never live to see 60 years of age.

She survived, with all of the odds against her she made it! Our mother ate whole foods (up until about a year ago), she speaks and just 2 weeks ago turned 63 years old! During all of this time she has continued to keep a full time job and even worked throughout all of her treatments. So we have been able to keep up with all of her mounting medical expenses because lets just be real the bills never stop! She may have beat Cancer twice but the continued medical attention that she needed because of the treatment that she needed to kill the cancer has been never ending. She recently had a week stay in the hospital & has been on daily IV antibiotics for a horrible bone infection in her jaw (osteonecrosis) due to the radiation treatment. She will continue to have the daily IV antibiotics until end of December & we had our first Immunotherapy treatment of Keytruda today to start fighting the Cancer.

The bills are mounting up and we are getting to a point where we are not going to be able to fight this for a third time with out help! This is where we are asking you to come in. We know that is a hard time for everyone & the holidays are here but we would be so appreciative for ANYTHING that you could do! We are asking for funds to help with the treatment and medical attention that is required with this kind of diagnosis. We are asking for help to save our mother because if there is anyone that deserves this chance it is her and she is so worth it!
