Help with Buddy’s chemo journey

Hi everyone,
I am heartbreakingly reaching out for support after my beautiful 9 year old Buddy was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma, 2 weeks after surgery. He has a rare type which has grown from a blood vessel in his abdomen. It is an extremely aggressive and malignant form of cancer.
Buddy showed no symptoms of this cancer known as the silent killer, other than 3 days before his scans he was lethargic and his appetite was off. His CT scan revealed a large orange size mass and biopsy was inconclusive.
Buddy had an exploratory surgery whereby we had to make a decision whilst he was on the table to continue to remove or to let him go. At this point there were so many unknowns we said to continue. It was a huge High risk surgey, and the brave boy lost part of his intestine and pancreas. Buddy made it through with no complications thanks to an incredible vet and has recovered remarkably well from the op. There are currently no other tumours or spread visible, but microscopic spread throughout his little body will have sadly occurred.
Now the dreaded results are in , which we hoped would be something less aggressive, we are now in a place where I think it would be unfair not to give him the best chance with treatment and chemo. His tumour type is very little researched. Without Chemo the statistics say he has 1-3 months. With Chemo 6-9 months, with some dogs living happily and comfortably for 1 year or more. A reminder that doggy chemo is not as intense as humans. The goal is to prolong life but it is not curative, with dogs being protected against large doses of chemo. This means he will have minimal side effects... some dogs are unaffected.
Anyone who knows Buddy loves his zest for life, kind nature and ball mad attitude. He has been such a good dog, support for me through my own health struggles and being there for his brother dog Prince through his own cancer treatment just last year.
Buddy is insured but this was maxed out at £7000( with 20 percent co payment due to his age), and current total costs without any chemo or follow up scans is about £11,000. We expect this to increase by at least a few thousand, probably more but exacts are unknown due to the uncertainty. update 28/7 Chemo costs added we are looking at £12.5-£13000 this includes no scans
He has fought so hard already and is strong after surgery, I can’t see any option but to give him a chance at life. Any help or shares to give our sweet boy the chance he deserves would mean the world!
Thank you so much
