Brugashi was my best friend, in every sense. We began our story together in October of 2022 in Montana, when he was just 8 weeks old and weighed 15lbs. He picked me. Out of the other pups, he was the most interested and playful with me. I will never forget that they called him Green, because of the color of his collar. We travelled from Montana to New Mexico, where I decided to stay for a couple years. We rented a room from a co-worker and he had a yard he could be in, when I wasn't home. He loved that the fence was only 3 foot tall. He would stand up and greet me every night when I got in from work.
After getting let go unexpectedly from my job, I turned to DoorDash as my income. Bru went with me, as he absolutely loved going for rides, and meeting new people and other dogs. In the 14 months of doing DoorDash, we logged over 40,000 miles together across 9 states. He never missed a day, the best co-pilot and backseat driver a man could ask for. The sun roof became his window, and he was not shy about using it, even at 60 mph! He was my buddy, my oversized lap dog, my security, and the unofficial greeter at every dog park we went to. He loved his treats, he loved saying hi to people in other cars at stop lights. He got so many compliments! I will never forget him, and he is irreplaceable. He forever holds a special place in my heart.
Recently, Brugashi colicked, which caused his stomach to turn and his bowels to become twisted shut. I could not afford the surgery, and I was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him at just 3 years old. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover his medical and end-of-life expenses. Any support to help with his expenses would mean the world to me. Thank you for considering helping during this difficult time.
