Help with Brian Anderson’s Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Most of you know Brian Anderson and his mother, Teresa McCarter, from their many years loving our pets at Happy Dog Cafe.  They have spent years helping us take care of our furbabies.   They were always willing to go above and beyond for anyone in need.   Now, they need our help!

Brian was born with a heart defect called transposition of the greater vessels in 1981. Which means the arteries that were suppose to pump blood in and out of the heart were switched.  He had his first open heart surgery at 8 months old.   He's has had multiple surgeries and procedures throughout his short lifetime, including receiving a pacemaker at 17 years old.   At one point, Teresa was told to take Brian home and let him die.  She was determined not to let that happen.

Today, Brian is 39 years old. His Cardiologist has told him that the pacemaker leads are now blocking one of his arteries.   Because of this, Brian now requires a very risky and expensive procedure to remove the old leads and put in a stent that will allow for proper blood flow.  The Dacon cloth that was put in his heart when he was three years old has also begun to leak. This very dangerous condition will require Brian to go undergo  another open heart surgery to replace it after the lead replacement procedure.

Brian's doctors feel that it is in his best interest to travel to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where they specialize in the treatments that Brian requires.   His medical expenses are  astronomical.  If you feel inclined to help, Brian and his family would be most appreciative and overwhelmingly grateful.  Donations will go directly to help pay for Brian's medical care.
