Help Victoria fight breast cancer

Hi, my name is Nicole Willingham. I'm setting this fundraiser up for my Sister, Victoria Rose Serra.

Victoria found a lump in one of her breasts in 2020. After monitoring it this past year she went to get a biopsy and it was confirmed to be stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma on June 25th of 2021. It is also HER2+ which tends to be more aggressive, so she needs prompt and aggressive treatment. Her current treatment plan starts with 6 rounds of chemo [the first round starting July 12th], followed by surgery, and potentially more chemo depending on how the cancer responds. We're still wrapping our heads around a lot of this but her team of doctors are amazing, and let me tell you; I've been lucky enough to spend my life growing up next to Victoria and that woman is one of the most persistent, stubborn, and incredibly strong individuals I've ever known. So I have full confidence in her ability to pull through this.

The reason I am setting this fundraiser up is because Victoria only just got medical insurance after being denied financial assistance from the state and that wont go into effect until August. The bills from tests alone have been piling up plus she will have to start chemo before the insurance goes through. I also would like to help her and her husband David Serra with their home and living bills while Victoria is undergoing treatment as we're in for a journey, her doctor has said a year of treatment from the looks of it. Right now she just needs to focus on healing, both body and mind, and any help you may be able to give would mean to world to us.

We're still figuring out what all Victoria will need to help with treatment and what not and I will update on here if there is anything else she may need help with but for now we sincerely appreciate any help you can give, whether financial or just sending your love!
