Due to unexpected health events and ER trips for Jordan, we're seeking help. This isn't something that I wanted to do; I hate asking for help. Since Thanksgiving, she has been admitted to the hospital on three separate occasions totaling 13 days. Health insurance denied her infusions for an extended month, putting her into a pretty nasty health flare. Paired with her Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and extended Prednisone use, they think that is what is causing multiple rib fractures from coughing/sneezing and bone density issues. On top of that, she currently has pneumonia, and every time her pain meds wear off, she's in intense pain, and when we run out, we have to go to the ER again for pain management. I just feel helpless in assisting Jordy to get better, as the specialists and doctors don't seem to have any additional plans for her recovery. Intense pain, barely able to get off the couch or out of bed, hurts to breathe, talk, cough, etc.
We've been a single-income family for a long time. I've missed work to assist her in basic daily tasks, errands, hospital trips, to see specialists, and many daily needs for our 4-year-old, Juliet. I'm worried about losing my job that I've had since July due to the time off to care for my family. Any help would go to bills that are piling up that we just can't afford in our current situation.
If you're able to pitch in anything at all, it's really appreciated. If not, we totally understand as times are tough right now all around!
