Hi, my name is Nic Summers, and I’m reaching out for support during a very difficult time.
I run a small business and have always taken pride in doing honest, high-quality work. Recently, I completed a large project for a client, Andy Farley — this included all quoted work, plus extra tasks he personally requested during the job. Everything was completed to a high standard, in good faith, with the clear understanding that I would be paid in full.
Unfortunately, Andy has failed to pay the invoice — for both the quoted and additional work. Despite multiple follow-ups, I’ve been left out of pocket, and I’m now dealing with the financial fallout.
As a result, I’m struggling to cover several urgent obligations, including a tax bill, wholesaler invoices, and even basic business expenses like fuel to get to work. I also have a family to support, and this situation has put a huge strain on both my business and personal life.
I’ve started the process of taking this to small claims court to recover the money owed — but as anyone who’s been through it knows, it’s a slow and drawn-out process. In the meantime, I’m left to carry the burden alone.
