Help With Betty-Jo's Post-Cancer Liver Treatments

Betty-Jo is a 54 year old widow who has been working all her life, most recently as a home health care aide and taxi driver. She is very cheerful and hard-working despite having had to overcome many difficulties. Her spine was severed when she was a young adult and she was wheelchair-bound for several years until she had a back surgery. She had brain cancer 11 years ago. Even though it metastasized, she was treated with surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. The radiation therapy damaged her liver and the treatments left her with a lot of debt.

She has no insurance and has trouble paying for her needed liver shots. She has also been under a lot of stress because her partner is leaving her to go back and be with his family in another state, and she can't afford an apartment on her own. She passed out three weeks ago for four hours. Her soon-to-be-ex took her to the hospital. They kept her only one night because she had no insurance. Her white cell count was almost zero. Her cell count has been coming back and she is getting better.

Betty-Jo have to live in her car if she does not financial help. I have given her assistance and made a short-term housing arrangement, but she needs more help to pay her medical bills and the additioal treatment she needs to get back on her feet. Please be generous. Any donation helps!
