Bernie was my sweet 10-year-old cat, and losing him has been incredibly hard. He fell sick with a urine blockage, and I rushed him to the vet. After the first visit, they sent us home with medications, but Bernie wasn’t getting better. When I brought him back to the vet, he passed away within minutes. The staff barely tried to help before they officially pronounced him, but it was all so sudden. It was traumatic, watching him pass away in front of my eyes on the way to the vet, all within less than five minutes.

Now, I’m left with an almost $2,000 vet bill, which include medications Bernie only used for a day and a half, and some he never got to use at all. This expense was completely unexpected, and I’m struggling to afford it on top of my regular bills. I also have a 6-month-old baby to support, and the financial stress is overwhelming.

I’m reaching out for help so I can pay Bernie’s vet bill and focus on healing, instead of having a constant reminder of this loss. I’ve never asked for help for anything, especially financially, so to ask for help now…it would mean the absolute world. Any support would mean so much to me and help me move forward.
