✏️ Help First Graders Start the School Year Ready to Learn — Just $4 Per Child!

Imagine the excitement of a first grader walking into their classroom on the first day of school — and finding a pencil box filled with pencils, crayons, colored pencils, an eraser, a glue stick, and even their very own personal whiteboard with a marker and eraser.

For about $4 per student, you can help make that moment of joy possible!

We're raising funds to provide basic school supplies to first graders in Southwest Detroit, where families are hardworking but often don’t have extra resources for these essentials. With your help, these children can start school with confidence and the tools they need to succeed. With the help of God, family, and friends, we provided for 754 children / 27 classrooms / 6 schools last year.

What Each Child Receives for Just $4:

Pencil box

24-pack crayons

12 colored pencils

Glue stick

Eraser

Folder

Several pencils (generously provided by a sponsor!)

Personal lap whiteboard with dry erase marker and eraser — a special request from teachers who love using them for classroom learning.

We’re also providing classrooms with supplies like hand sanitizer, tissues, and wipes — and socks and underwear for school offices to keep on hand when needed.

How You Can Help

$40 helps 10 kids.

$100 supplies an entire classroom.

Any amount you give makes a real difference!

100% of all funds raised will go directly to purchasing supplies. We’ll do the shopping, packing, and delivering — and we’ll keep you updated along the way.

️ We need to receive all donations by August 10 so we can shop for any remaining items and host our packing party on August 17-18, with deliveries to the schools on August 19.

Together, we can bless these children, their families, and teachers with a strong start to the school year.
