Yesterday, I found this dog dodging traffic on a busy road. I was lucky enough to be able to catch him with an emergency leash and treats I keep in my car. He was malnourished, infested with fleas, matted from head to toe, no collar and no tags, and honestly; just absolutely exhausted from being out and lost for however long he had been. I have successfully been able to treat his fleas, but unfortunately, it was very expensive. All of his mattes were groomed out and he got a haircut. I bought him a nice collar, a stuffy and he's had some good meals.

I posted on my local lost and found pet page, hoping that someone was missing this boy and he just got lost. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. From what I gathered, this dog had been brought into a vets office in January, in the same exact condition from a person who had found him running around. He was picked up later by the man who owned him. Fast forward to today, I was informed this man moved out of state and ABANDONED the dog. He had been living outside with no food, no water, no shelter and had escaped the yard this man LEFT him in.

Safe to say, we have fallen inlove with him. He's already best friends with my girl Bambi. And he loves his aunt Carlee who has helped me along the way. Max & I have been missing something since we lost Bosco last year, and I think he was sent to us for a reason. The universe has a funny way of doing that.

I've never made a gofundme because asking people for money, when I know how many of us struggle on a daily basis, has never sat well with me. So, I'm not expecting anyone to spend more than what they can, or even any at all but I wanted to take the chance. I've spent a good amount already on his flea and grooming treatment, but he will also need to be fixed and get all of his shots as well as a heartworm test and possible medication. It won't be a cheap journey and although I'll do whatever I can to get these done for him, I wanted to try to reach out to the community and animals lovers to ask for a helping hand.
