Baby Lincoln has to undergo surgery for "Transposition of the Great Arteries". It's a congenital heart defect where the two main arteries from the heart, that carry blood to the heart and lungs, are reversed. (They're having everything done through the University of Michigan at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital).
Lincoln’s open heart surgery to correct his heart defect will be within a couple days. If all goes well Lincoln and family are expected to be at Motts for about 3-4 more weeks, so hopefully before Christmas they will be able to come home.
Meredith is going to be off work for a couple months with no paid maternity leave and Cy will have to go back to work within 2 weeks so they have some sort of income. Anything will help from paying medical bills, gas to and from the hospital, food, lodging for themselves and extended family.
