Hi my name is Alicia and I'm fundraising for my 22 yr old son Austin who doesn't have any medical insurance and was admitted into a local ICU yesterday (June 1, 2021) with critically High Blood Pressure and in Kidney failure, with his kidneys only functioning at 8%.

We don't have a lot of information right now as the doctors go through the diagnosis and prognosis process but what we do know is that they've started him on Kidney Dialysis to try and take some strain off.

The first Dialysis treatment was last night but made only a small difference so they're going to try another Dialysis treatment this afternoon. The goal is to get his blood pressure low enough to do a Kidney Biopsy so they can figure out the what, why and how.

We're hoping whatever they do will jump start his Kidneys and get them working again, if that doesn't work he's more than likely looking at a Kidney Transplant.

He's staying upbeat and as positive as he can be about his future but the first thing he said to me was, Mom how am I ever going to pay for this?? I don't even want to think about what this bill is going to look like but I really don't want him worrying about this, especially in his condition so I figured I'd try this and see if just maybe our family and friends might be able to help.

I figure if each of our family and friends donated just $5.00 each, we'd raise quite a bit of money for this very young man that has suddenly found himself in the fight of his life....
