This is my grandson Austen and his family. He was run off the road and severely injured in an automobile accident.  The other driver took off.  He dislocated his hip and shattered his hip socket. He has numerous staples in his legs, knee and head. He had to have rods, pins and screws placed in his hip due to the number of fractures.  He is currently on FMLA,  but the Dr. said this is a life changing incident.  He has no short term disability insurance.  Austen has a 2 yr old daughter and her mom to support.  He currently has no income coming in to pay their rent,  utilities, groceries or buy his medication.  He is going to need extensive physical therapy just to perform daily living activities.  His first hospital bill came in from St. Johns and is $55,000  and there will be a lot more to come.  He will not be ready to start PT for another month because he needs time to heal from the surgery.   This will be another big expense. Rachel is working when she can,  but has to care for him and take him to appointments, etc. due to his limited mobility and not being able to drive at this time.  Any small amount would help his family.  We are also asking for prayers  in hopes he will be able to return to his job after the 12 weeks are up, but at this time it all depends on how fast he heals.   He has been at his job for over 2  years and really loves it.  He is very motivated to get back to work,  but will have to start physical therapy soon to make that happen.  Thank you.
